This toilet, trashcan of used tissues, and of course toilet paper dolls will be coming with us this weekend to Brooklyn NY for Renegade. When I was first planning for the toilet it was really hard to pick a color. I considered going with the white with black seat (which you see a lot in public restrooms) But the mint, retro-looking toilet won out. I hope to have enough time before this weekend to make a toilet seat cover for it. Something like this but more of a shag cover, and in pink to match a lot of my other stuff.
You can get a good idea of the size of the toilet by my hand holding open the cover to peek in. Of course I am so very tempted to make a little poopie plush to go inside, but there are a few plush makers out there who already make marvelous poo, so maybe I should just stick with my poop cookies instead.
A side view for good measure. I am sorry I have been so quiet over here in my blog, I am mostly keeping busy making sure I have everything for this coming weekend. I actually bought bags! I have never, ever in my life remembered to buy shopping bags for people to put their purchases in. All in all, its always worked out ok, but I’ve felt bad when people buy a huge armload of things and have to carry them around while they shop.
Do keep in mind though if you are one of the first 500 shoppers both days of Renegade you can stop by the Renegade booth and get a super goodie bag filled with all kinds of cool stuff. Then you could use the goodie bag for shopping too! Plus then you can come say hello, because I am pretty darn close to the Renegade check in booth!
Besides sewing on Saturday I asked my sister to come along and go pick strawberries with the kids and I. I have wanted to stop by this farm for awhile, their signage really stole my heart! I wanted a tshirt, but the shirts have the image on the back not the front (boo!!!) We got to ride a fun little trolley down to the fields, and the kids had a blast. The weather was really perfect for it too, a little cool, but very sunny. We came home with so many berries that I am hoping to make a few jars of strawberry jam this week.
On Sunday we met up with my sister again at my mom’s house and we all took a trip out to another local farm to pick up some fresh veggies. Then that night we had some people over for dinner (and fresh veggies of course) and had a really nice time. In all of this I have still somehow managed to get lots done for this weekend, surprisingly enough. I am going to try and go through and inventory everything tonight, that way I get a good idea of what I still need to get done. Oh and all of this and I forgot my title, my hair is yes a very toilet bowl blue, and after all that talk I still cut it all off!
