Can’t Touch This…

So you might have noticed, I am trying to get back into making a blog entry everyday. Some days its really hard. I mean how many times do you want to see a photo of a cupcake plush? :) Its hard when I am busy working on big wholesale orders, and not coming up with new designs. Hopefully my other types of posts (like this one) are still somewhat stimulating.

So last night I made this chocolate cake for the dinner guests. The MC Hammer doll standing next to the cake was actually something I found at Goodwill today. I worked late into the night 2:30am, and then was up working hard again this morning. Which also meant two huge trips to the post office today. So to reward myself we made a trip to Goodwill this evening and seeing little Hammer, I knew he was my prize.

I also was lucky enough to find yet another bag of plastic animal letters This time there are more letters, and it was $1.29 instead of .47 which just shows you how very different Goodwills can be with pricing.

Last night was nice. Tom’s good friend Justin (seen cuddling below with Thomas) came over to our house for the first time. We stayed up late looking through old photos, and chowing down. Sean and Amanda came too to complete the night (our nights just are not the same without those two)

This is the last week of summer vacation here……come on fall!

I will read anything you put down here. You have a great life!
ps-I see that you are pretty far from me at Renegade but I’ll do my best to jog over and say hello.

I agree with Anja. I like to read your blog for lots of reasons; one is that it gives me some insight into what it’s like to be an artist for a living. I have no idea what it’s like except that I was told from the start that I shouldn’t do it because … oh so many reasons. So not only do I like to see all the things you make, but I like to know how much work it all is, how long it takes, what’s frustrating, what’s mundane, what’s exciting, what gives you a sense of accomplishment.
