Spring Break (day 6)

Yesterday was the final day of Spring Break for the kids. They are back to school today, and it feels a bit odd. Its rainy and dreary too…I’m really glad yesterday was sunny and warmer. We decided to head to Hanover PA to do a little hiking-letterboxing, and another tour of the Utz chip factory. I wanted to tour the Hanover pretzel factory but apparently you have to make a reservation, so we will save that for another day.

For letterboxing we headed to Codorus State Park which is a 3,452 acre park with amazingly large lake. We found four stamps total. Three of them took us on a two hour hike on trails in the forest. It was so beautiful and even though the hiking at times was uphill, the kids were so excited to follow the clues that they didn’t even complain. When we got home we only had an hour or so until bedtime, so they watched a movie while I worked on the book. I continued working on the book until 2am! I am wrapping up loose ends because I have my first deadline on Wednesday. Today I have to scan templates and patterns, exciting huh? ;)

This week is a crazy busy one which seems to somehow be the norm for April. I can’t believe its already the 14th. My mom is coming for a visit next week and staying until Mother’s Day. Its gonna be crazy busy, but fun too. We’ve got birthday parties, soccer lessons beginning, all these rummage sales, goodness it will be Mother’s Day before we know it!
