Cinnamon Hot Pads

**Just to be clear these are meant to be used under a hot pan, like when serving something directly from the oven..to keep it from scorching your table
What you’ll need:
-Plain uncooked rice (about 2 cups) mixed with cinnamon and cloves (you can crush whole ones, or just like me just throw in the powdered stuff, about 1 T of each. I use my hot pads all the time and have never had a problem with any cinnamon dust)
-Cotton Fabric (2 pieces about 8×10 inches each)
-Pins
-Funnel
-Sewing Machine
-Ruler (optional)
-Washable Fabric Marking Pen or Pencil (optional)

Please do be extra careful with the last step as a grain of rice will break your needle! The channels do not need to be packed full, or to the brim.
If you have any doubt, just had sew the last line of stitching. :) Happy sewing!

Sorry for the illustrations. I had wanted to take photos but today was busy and then the evening was spent at the theater with my boys enjoying a Christmas show, so I didn’t have time for the photos. I hope the instructions are clear.
