Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum

Mister Ed's Elephant Museum

Yesterday B and I decided to go and check out Mister Ed’s. Its really only about 15 minutes from our house, but we hadn’t been since the big fire they had. On July 5th, 2010 Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium suffered a horrific fire. As a result, we lost approximately 2000 elephants of the collection. With the tremendous support of our community we were able to save the remainder of the collection and currently have MORE elephants today than we did on the day of the fire. On February 5th, seven month to the day, Mister Ed’s reopened its doors to the public. Though the store is quite different in appearance everyone will still be able to find the largest collection of candy, fudge, and peanuts in the area!

Besides elephants, candy, and peanuts there is also an outdoor garden you can walk around. They have some impressive large elephants, but also really cool snow white & seven dwarf figures. They have some new ones, but I much prefer the older ones. Mister Ed’s is free, and wonderful, definitely worth checking out if you are ever in the area!
