One thing I like to do at thrift shops is take a quick peek into the toy bins. Some times you just find the best little figures and they are usually pretty darn cheap.
Kevin McCallister & Stu Pickles are prime examples.
Or how about Oblina (Aaahh! Real Monsters) or Timmy Turner.
Some times you can even find vintage advertising toys like Sprout! The Sprout character was introduced in Green Giant advertising in 1973.
I’ve also been known to buy a head, if its cute enough like Lucy is.
Some times you even find stuff in toys bins that are not even toys! Like these handmade Bert and Ernie wood-ornaments? Not sure exactly what they were made for, but I plan to use them on the Christmas tree. They are so cute!
My kid’s don’t come thrifting with me as often as they used to, but I still go and check out the toy section every single time (mostly because I like toys) I also have hope that one day I will stumble upon a Kenner Blythe at a thrift shop mixed in the with barbies ;) No luck yet!
