Sunday Links – Movie List

Today I thought I’d share with you my current list of movies I want to watch…..

The Hedgehog (Le hérisson) Paloma is a serious and highly articulate but deeply bored 11-year-old who has decided to kill herself on her 12th birthday. Fascinated by art and philosophy, she questions and documents her life and immediate circle, drawing trenchant and often hilarious observations on the world around her. But as her appointment with death approaches, Paloma finally meets some kindred spirits in her building’s grumpy janitor and an enigmatic, elegant neighbor, both of whom inspire Paloma to question her rather pessimistic outlook on life.
The Double Life of Veronique (La Double Vie de Véronique) The Double Life of Véronique is the story of two young women who are — in some mysterious and irresolvable way — the same woman leading two different yet interconnected lives.

Ink As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible except for the power they exert over us in our sleep, battling for our souls through dreams.
Mouth To Mouth A disillusioned young girl looking to carve her own path in life and live on her own terms hits the road with a volatile collection of radical revolutionaries in director Alison Murray’s uncompromising coming-of-age road film. Sherry (Ellen Page) is a teenage contradiction of sorts; she wants to be accepted but she doesn’t want to sacrifice her fierce individualism.

All of these films have been out for a few years or so and a few are on Netflix’s instant streaming (always a plus!)

I recently found your site through A Beautiful Mess and also saw your work in Handmade Nation. Really love your work and find it very inspiring. Love your brand name too; I’ve been making lots of paper cranes lately as a form of relaxation and am now trying to figure out what to do with them all!

These movies look really interesting, especially intrigued by the first too. heard good things about the hedgehog movie!

    Thanks for the inspiration!
