Sunday Links – Halloween Style

Today I wanted to share with you a few Halloween links for your enjoyment…

I tend to think that the best Target Halloween store display was in 2003. The giant masks are just so spot on…see all the photos over at the Secret Fun Blog.

My favorite Halloween movie (not kid friendly) is Trick ‘r Treat I know I talk about it every year, but so far nothing has been able to top it. The Halloween imagery is just that good. Come on Hollywood, I need more Halloween movies please….and when I say Halloween movies, I mean actual scary movies that are about Halloween (not just a scary movie, and please not just a torture movie)

I love all three of these t-shirts for Halloween, and right now Threadless shirts are still $9.99

and a few more:
free halloween fonts
free cut and fold printable masks
cute cone girl’s in halloween costumes
my list of kid’s halloween movies from last year
Betsy McCall Halloween paper dolls

Trick r Treat is definitely the best scary Halloween movie. I am not a huge fan of scary movies but I loved that one. I have no other suggestions as my other favorite Halloween movies are Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown haha.

  2. I’ve never seen Trick ‘r Treat! I just looked it up on the internet and I’m going to watch it later tonight! I love Halloween movies too and I agree with you….I want a movie about Trick or Treat, not just a slasher movie. That is one of the reasons I like the original Halloween movie with Jamie Lee Curtis….at least it takes place on Halloween night…and there is a carved pumpkin on the front porch in the movie. By the way, I love all of your vintage Halloween decor! Brings back memories!

Bonnie, Have you seen Halloween III: Season of the Witch? I love that one too!

  4. Heidi Kenney says:

Dana, hocus pocus is a good one!!

That Secret Fun Blog post is a favorite of mine. And the Pop Ink ‘Goth-Icky’ is a must have. I love looking at it for inspiration.

  6. Heidi, I have seen Halloween III, when it first came out, but that’s it,,,,I will have to go back and watch it again! Also I tried to watch Trick ‘r Treat on YouTube but couldn’t get the whole movie….just bits and pieces…I tried Hulu as well, but couldn’t find it. Oh well, I did see the part about the school bus going into the mine though…it was really holding my interest…I’ll find a way to see it one of these days. :)
