Father’s Day

This Father’s Day was kind of an off one…Thomas had to work, as he had taken off Saturday evening because we had the big grad party.
On Sunday we were all dragging from partying until almost 4am the night before. And I felt really bad that Tom had to go into work at all. So I made up a batch of bread dough donuts for Father’s Day breakfast, and then we did gifts once Tom got home from work. B made him this cute fox (I only helped cut out the wood) and then Kurt wrote him a sweet letter.
On Father’s Day afternoon I got the sad news that my grandfather had died. He lived in Maine, and I am sad that my boys never got to meet him, he was such a wonderful grandpa. I’ll always remember his amazing knitting & crocheting skills. He could whip up sweaters like no one’s business. I am looking forward to seeing all my extended family when we all gather for his memorial. I am sure it will be a lovely time remembering him, and sharing stories from that side of my family.
