This month’s crafternoon was a pie potluck & paper cutting extravaganza! This was one of the bigger crafternoons which means more people were able to attend, and the tables stretched all the way into the kitchen.
I asked everyone to bring a pie to share, a blade for cutting, and any patterns they wanted to try. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to walk around and take photos of everyone’s cuttings, im so sad about that and plan to be way better about taking pictures at the next crafternoon!
I just drew on black cardstock with a pencil, and it was actually very easy to see. But I did find it very hard to decide what to cut and what to leave!
I made a vegan gluten free keylime pie from this recipe but I changed a few things. I couldn’t find any gluten free graham crackers so I used vegan ones (but then made a small gluten free version) and I used a vegan whipped cream I already had in place of the coconut cream.
I also wanted to make the Marshmallow Mermaid pie from Waitress. I love that movie so much, and can you imagine a party made up of pies just from the film? Anyhow we had plenty of pies at the party, and lots of fun paper cutting…Star Wars snowflakes, girls flying kites, geometric shapes…I’ll make sure to get photos next time for sure!
