On Thanksgiving I didn’t get many photos, but I snapped a few before, and then again when we brought out the desserts. We had a Thanksgiving at our house open to friends and family. Our friend Adam made the drive from Pittsburgh to spend the day with us. Kurtis had a friend from college come with him, so we decided to just do a big open-to-all Thanksgiving at our house this year.
I covered the tables with a roll of brown paper and set out crayons (which was actually most popular among the teenagers) It also made cleaning up the table for dessert a huge breeze. Thankfully now with Crafternoon every month I have gotten used to setting up tables for big gatherings, and finally have plenty of chairs!

I think I might just love everything in your home, the tree, the chairs, the tablecloth, the pyrex, the mustard yellow walls. Wowzers!

I love your pictures… thanks for reminding me that, no matter how cute my Pyrexes look on the shelf, they look even better with food inside! Can’t wait to have my own kitchen so I can use them for EVERYTHING! :)

  3. I love that you had an open-to-all Thanksgiving! I bet it was a lot of fun. :)

What a lovely dessert table! Our Thanksgiving plans were scrapped due to a sick baby (ear infection). I made chili and we broke out the Christmas decorations instead.

Thanks Amanda, I’m so sorry to hear about the sick baby–but chili and Christmas decorating sounds like a lovely way to spend Thanksgiving! I love the idea of just staying home with family all cozy!
