On Wednesday our son went away with school to camp for a few days (which he declared the best 3 days of his life when he returned) Since he was away, on Thursday Tom and I decided to spend the day driving around Pennsylvania.
We slept in, and ate breakfast at a place here in town. Stuffed french toast and roasted potatoes. The only plans we had made were for the movie in Gettysburg that evening, so we knew we wanted to stay in PA. We decided to check out some antique malls in the York area. One boasted four floors and was in a crazy old building, there wasn’t a lot of great stuff, but the building was cool to wander around in.
We made an ice cream break stop mid day, and had dinner in Gettysburg before seeing Grand Budapest Hotel (which was perfection of course!) If you’ve never been to The Majestic Theater in Gettysburg, its a real treat. They have two small theaters for movies, and one big theater for performances.
It was such a fun day, with really beautiful weather.
I’m excited for Summer, so we can get out and take day trips more often.
Of course with bunka dolls on the brain I had to make a fabric repeat! Available over at Spoonflower now!
