Heidi Braids

I found this haggard insulated bag thrift shopping with my sister. I thought it had a great shape and was a nice roomy size for packing picnics. It even has a little plastic trash can like insert which helps keep its shape and prevent spills from wrecking the bag. It was falling apart though and I wasn’t a huge fan of the colors, so I bought it with the idea I’d re-cover the whole thing.
I decided to use some fabric I designed called Heidi Braids. It’s an homage to my namesake Heidi. Little mountain girls with goats, wildflowers, butterflies, and mushrooms. Seemed perfect for a picnic. You can check out the coordinating fabrics here.
