Kittyloaf
The cat position referred to when a cat lays down with with all four paws tucked underneath the body; the position that resembles a loaf of bread.
My husband woke up a little too as I was rolling over in bed with this new idea rattling around and I made sure to tell him so I wouldn’t forget (I do this all the time). Then soon after I got to work using measurements I found online for bread, and voila my kittyloaf cozies are done!
The mama cat fits nicely over a loaf of bread, and the kittens work well for small leftover bags of bread, or homemade mini loaves. I think it would make a lovely gift to bake a mini loaf in a pan you want to give (around the holidays Michael’s Craft has cute mini loaf pans for $1 each) then cover your bread with some plastic wrap, pop a kitten over it and tie a bow around his stomach up onto his back! I’ve actually been thinking of creating a whole new fabric with just kittens for this very purpose, and then I could fit a few more colors too. Thoughts?
I’m finishing up a little tutorial on how to sew them up, I used a iron on interfacing inside my cats and lining to make them very nice and sturdy indeed.
Adorable!
Having JUST done something similar (had a crazy idea and just DOING IT) I get it completely.
Also I love these. I almost wish they had a bottom so you could seal them in and close their little mouths with velcro. :D

I love this SO much!!!!!
So cute. Add a tiny mouse and you could have a shell game!
I’m trying to figure out how I can use them for my cats. Maybe to cover their toy basket?
those are so freaking cute!
I absolutely love these! They are so adorable! I don’t have cats (not a good idea with hunting dogs) but my family loves cats. I could see my little sister using these in her door room!
Maybe a black cat for halloween? Or a tortie pattern?
Are you going to sell the fabric/instructions in your shop? So many questions lol.
These are so cute!!! :)
You are so funny!
Tiffany, my mind is sometimes a strange one! Haha
Thanks so much Steph
Michelle, Oh thats a good idea. I am sure they would work as cozies for most items! :) The fabric is for sale on spoonflower, I am finishing up drawing some sewing instructions and hope to post it this week!
thank you Rae :)
JLVerde, oh gosh haha so true! I might make another pattern some time that could be nesting kitty loaf boxes (with the tops open inside of the bottoms?)
thanks jennifer! :)
Rose, gotta love those crazy ideas that we bring to life :)
I am considering making another pattern of nesting kitty loaf baskets?
Thank you Shellei :)
