Family Meal

We have now been to Volt’s Family Meal in Frederick twice. It’s such a cute place, but as you can see ordering coffee & getting the little metal cream milk box charms me every time. Bryan Voltaggio is the co-owner and executive chef of four restaurants including VOLT, Lunchbox, Family Meal and RANGE. We ate at Volt for my husband’s work Christmas dinner and while that was lovely and fancy, I enjoy the laid back atmosphere at Family Meal. Last time we were there with a bunch of Tom’s co-workers and the chef sent out complimentary bourbon sticky buns with walnut praline. At that point I was too full to even try them, but they looked amazing. Can’t wait to go back again!

We need to put this one the list for “places to eat together”.

Those are really sweet! I have heard about Volt before, but not this other restaurant. I will have to check it out if I am ever in the area.

One of my favs. Wasn’t until our last meal there that I realized the tables don’t include salt and pepper — everything is so perfectly prepared there’s no need for it!

  9. Heidi Kenney says:

Lesley, Oh that’s so funny! I never even noticed that!

Archie, I thought so too :) I found out you can buy them online, at a few different places :)
