Still doing a bit of spinning for myself every now and again. I love knitting with handspun yarn and I always make sure to spin it up all crazy, I like to be constantly surprised while I knit.
Yay I love your bubblegummy yarns. I’m in the process of ordering 4 KILOS! ( That’s 8.8 Pounds) of amazing Australian 19 micron merino for a spinning collaboration I’m doing with my Sister who’s a natural dyer. I bought a blending board, its awesome, and now you’re just making me itch to spin something this weekend. I still have your “learn to spin” zine I got off a Flickr swap years ago, I think that’s how I heard about “MyPaperCrane” in the first place. I’ve graduated from drop spindle to my wheel and still love the entire process. Thanks for the inspiration Heidi.
thanks Cate, I never can resist that sparkly stuff when I am at The Mannings, but then I try not to go overboard using it. Its sometimes very hard though haha
I was just looking into learning how to spin wool. What sort of spinner do you use? Getting started is a bit overwhelming but it looks like a lot of fun!
I love all the colors, and that little splash of sparkle is just perfect!
I want to wear that so bad!!!!!!!!
