Molly’s Birthday Trip

Molly’s Birthday Trip

At the end of May Molly and I took a mini roadtrip for her birthday to Harrisburg PA. Our first stop was at the Doll Museum. I’m not sure how Molly found it online, but I had never heard of it so I tried not to get my hopes up. Well guess what, it was amazing! I believe it was $5 to get in, and well worth it..so many dolls! If you are a fan of dolls and ever near Harrisburg I recommend checking it out.
Lunch was at Tomato Pie Cafe, while we have both been to the location in Litiz PA a few times, this was our first time visiting the one in Harrisburg. Now if only they’d open a location in our town.
After lunch we headed to Carlisle PA for antique shopping and birthday dessert. At the antique mall where we each found a few items. Next door was a little European food market so we stopped in, and bought some kinder eggs and other goodies.
We had coffee and cake (and macarons to go) at Helena’s Chocolate Cafe & Creperie. We also stopped in the cutest candy shop Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy. I actually have had their website bookmarked on my computer for awhile, so it was fun to stumble upon it.
Days like this day remind me just how much PA has to offer in the way of daytrips!
