Valentines

I was pretty sure this year would be the year that B wanted store bought Valentines. His classmates have been bringing in their Valentines all week long to be sorted and saved for the party. He totally surprised me when he said “we should make my Valentine’s tonight” So I got our doilies, paper, buttons, eyeballs, markers, and he set to work. Using coffee filters was his idea. :)

They turned out really cute, and we packaged them in cd envelopes decorated with polka dots. The cd envelope idea came from here. I would have loved to do that with cookies but the teacher had said no food or candy with Valentines….so we went with the paper variety instead.

I love those!! I always want to make Wesley’s valentines, but we end up just buying them. I was so excited this year when Wes said to me, “I want to MAKE my valentines this year!” We just finished them up last night!
