Giveaway

I was contacted by Rubbermaid to see if I’d be interested in reviewing their new line of fabric storage containers called Bento™. As a person who likes to dabble in many different kinds of artistic pursuits, finding a way to contain them all is always high on my list, so of course I said yes! They also have offered to send one Bento set to one of my blog readers, a $215 value. All you need to do to enter is:
-leave a comment on this blog entry by Monday Sept 3rd at noon EST, I’d love to hear what you’d use the Bento set to organize.
I’ll use the random number generator to pick a winner. Since the prize is shipping from Rubbermaid they’ve asked that I limit it to USA & Canadian readers only (I’m so sorry international friends, I still love you!)

The sample set they sent me was in the paprika color, which is fine…but I think I like the Loose Linenthe very best. I was also thinking you could cut a freezer paper stencil for the top since they are fabric and maybe add some lovely chevron pattern with fabric paint. Which is what I might do to mine.
Besides the color I really appreciate the function of the box. Contained inside the one large box (which has handles which I like) is smaller containers. Each of which the lid is reversible, which gives you a surface to flip over and work on your project in. A surface with a lip so projects don’t go flying off everywhere.
There are also clever little side pockets (can you see the knitting needles slide down into them?) Well they pop out if you want them to, and act as dividers. This way you can break up the boxes into even smaller sections. Which I appreciate as well. I really think the set is ideal for people who don’t have a designated craft area. You can load up the box with your current projects and then open it up while working on it, and close it back up when not.
So don’t forget to leave a comment so you can win a set of your own, maybe you’ll get the Loose Linen;) ;)

and for the legal stuff: My sample was provided free of charge by Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. and Rubbermaid®

This are awesome! I would use them to organize my scrap booking supplies and fabric.. my fabric stash is currently in my china hutch in the kitchen and my scrapbooking stuff is all over the kitchen table. These boxes would definitely help keep me organized and they would help keep tiny toddler fingers from destroying everything. :)

Wow, these are really neat! I’d likely use them to store craft “stuff” — that’s what most of my empty apartment space goes for anymore. :) They are attractive and functional- totally great combo!
