inspiration

As you might have been able to surmise I haven’t felt all that much like blogging. Its been that way for the last couple of months. I blame instagram for making me blog-lazy. It gives you that sharing/community feeling that blogging does, with a lot less effort. That being said one of my goals for this month was to blog more. I haven’t really been able to say that I have done that, but it’s a work in progress.
I cleaned up my workspace the other day and that always inspires me to make something new.

I’m just coming out of my blog slump and starting to get inspired again. We all go thru it. Getting your work space together starts getting you in the groove and you start looking at things you forgot you had and projects that need finishing up. Last weekend was one of my best creative weekends yet and I feel much better. Just so you know, you have been missed :-)

I have actually forgotten to go to people’s blogs because I follow them on Instagram, lol!
I also must apologize for being a creepy lurker. I’ve been following your blog for quite awhile, I just forget to comment! I’m sorta ditzy that way.

I’m always lazy about blogging. But I’d miss you if you stopped completely.

I totally agree with a clean workstation being inspiring. I just cleaned up my craft room from my Christmas mess and almost immediately began making a new mess with my new ideas. When I see a clean desk, I just have to craft all over it.

Jessica, I feel the same way….always before starting new projects I have to take an evening and clean up the studio, then I always feel inspired to create again :)

Persephone, aw thanks love! Im not sure I am ready to give it up entirely. It just seems like I have to keep blogging because when I slow down or take breaks then I never feel like going back and blogging again. Like I need to blog-to blog haha

Carrie, no I totally understand that! I read some blogs too, but im almost always playing catch up because I save them in a blog reader until I have time and then I feel silly commenting on something that is weeks old. Plus I think commenting is something a lot of people don’t do anymore. I used to have the hardest time replying, because there wasnt an easy way to make sure the person got my reply, till I found out there was a plug-in for that! Woo hoo! haha

Rachel, all true! Thanks for the kind words about missing my blog :) its hard to know how much people read blogs anymore, but I would miss being able to look back on past years like I can now :)

When something becomes a ‘chore’, i’s prob time to take a little vacation until inspiration hits. Clean workspaces are the bee’s knees for a clean mind.

  11. Heidi Kenney says:

Lesley that is certainly good advice! I seem to always fall into a rut where if I am blogging everyday, its no problem. But if I skip and let time go by, then everyday it gets harder and harder to sit down and make a blog entry. I have no idea why! So I’m hoping to keep my momentum going :)

Robbie, I know right? Damn instagram!! :)

  14. Jenny A. says:

Heidi you should mix it up a bit with an “Ask Heidi” series or something where we could ask you crafty fun questions :) I guess a lot of random questions is a little bit crazy too!

  15. Heidi Kenney says:

Jenny A. Oh no, haha you can ask me anything but I do feel weird doing a q&a post ;)

  16. Heidi Kenney says:

Rae, I know that instagram!! :)
