My records and record player were one of my favorite things growing up. I just found a box of them at a flea market for my daughter. Lots of them were the same ones I had growing up. Memories!

  2. Rachel says:

I love old childrens 45′s. My favorite as a kid was frog and toad. I listened to that thing non stop.

Persephone, my sisters and I got a used record player when we were about 9-10 age range and we loved that thing so much! My grandmother gave us a stack of old records and we made up dance moves and would act out all the songs. Our favorite was Run Joey Run, which its funny bc Glee did that song last year, so many memories haha

  4. Heidi Kenney says:

Rachel, yes! My son has that one now :)

  5. Erica says:

That lady on the record looks like Temple Grandin!

  6. Heidi Kenney says:

Erica, oh my goodness so true! Did you see the movie about her with Claire Danes? I loved it!

  7. Nat says:

Oh man, my fave record growing up was “It’s a Small World” and darn if it didn’t have the cutest art on the cover:

Nat, i think we might have that record cover, with all the little kids? If so we saw it empty hanging on a store wall and the lady let us just have it :)

  9. Nat says:

Yep, that’s the one! I think it would be so cute to make little paper chain dolls with those characters. :)
