Blythe Tea

This morning I had a really lovely get together with my local Blythe pals. I invited everyone to bring their dolls over for some tea, sweets, Blythe talk, and company. There was some hair removal for re-roots, some faces were sanded, sharing of clothes, etc. It was so much fun–can’t wait for the next meet up!

I made some birthday cake bars (but made some revisions of my own with dandies and sweetened condensed soy milk etc.) and some gluten free double chocolate chip cookies. There was lots of tea, and lots of Blythe dolls! Dolls on the bench belong to me, Jessee, Molly, and Heather. Our friend Lindsey who is interested in getting a Blythe came too, so I gave her a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe to get her started :)

I am so jealous. I wonder if anyone around here is a Blythe freak like me.

  2. What are the tiny cupcakes & ice cream cones? Marshmallows?

  3. How fun! The Blythe dolls are so adorable! I don’t have one, but I do think they are absolutely amazing! I love the little marshmallows that look like ice cream cones and cupcakes..how cute are those!! Your get togethers seem so wonderful. That’s pretty great that you have “Blythe” friends. It’s so fun to bond with others who share in your interests and hobbies. I am putting together my very first crafternoon…you have inspired me. At the beginning of March I’m having a marshmallow Peep wreath making party at my house…lunch and some desserts. Heidi, if this doesn’t work out, I’ll be so sad…I do not have crafty friends…I don’t know where all the crafty people are. What’s a girl to do? That is why when I found the blog world, I was so drawn to it because finally, I found people like me, LOL! I’ve got to solve this problem…obviously there are people like me in my town, I’ve just got to meet them. So here’s the funny thing….my hubby has 6 sisters, all living in the same town as us and not a one of them does crafty stuff. I mean, they have, but it’s not a part of their life. I have 3 sisters who are very crafty, 2 of them do not live in this state, and 1 of them lives close by to me but doesn’t really have the time for crafts…she loves crafts, but, just no time. Ok, well…I’m not giving up on my crafternoon….at the very least, my 2 closest friends will be here….they do like crafting, but….they are the type that has to be led by the hand and each of them says that they have no creativity. LOL! Ok, so you see where I’m coming from here? Either way, we will still have fun! Crafting, girl talk and coffee!

OMG where are those little ice cream cone and cupcake candies from? Soooo cute!

  5. Heidi Kenney says:

Nat, they were just at our grocery shop (Martin’s) I think sugar covered marshmallows are gross haha, but I liked how cute they were and they were all eaten hahaha

Bonnie, I know what you mean about people who are not crafty…but it should give you hope because I would bet the majority of people I invite would say “I am not crafty” or “I cant make stuff” but I just really emphasis that its not about the craft, but about getting together and having something to keep our hands busy as we all get to know one another. I think people just stress it when they worry over the craft part :) I hope you have an amazing crafternoon!

Tiffany, I just found them at our local grocery shop Martins, yeah they are sugar covered marshmallows (gross hahaha) but I thought they were really cute looking, and people ate them all up!

Persephone, maybe go on Blythe forums and try to find local people? I only had two friends into them, and then I bought my sister one to make her be into them too hahaha—and on friend who was interested in getting one. So it was a party of five, but perfect!
