More kiln mysteries…all 4 of these cups were created the same way, with the exact same materials (clay, wax, underglaze, glaze) all fired in the same area of the kiln, on the same shelf…and yet 🤷‍♀️ I have 12 mugs made in the same way waiting to be bisque fired, fingers crossed they’ll all turn out ok in the glaze fire 🤞

Made some little hand built cups last week to draw on using a #mishima technique. You inlay underglaze into carved lines. I coat my cups with wax first but I’ve seen people do it without the wax. #potteryvideos #potteryinlay #underglaze
