I hope everyone had a lovely holiday! Or, if your celebrating Hanukkah I hope your having a lovely time right now! We had a really good Christmas here in the Kenney house. We actually have three Christmas’s around here. On Christmas eve my family came over for food + fun. Christmas morning we celebrated amoung our own little family and then later Christmas day we head over to Tom’s parents for yet another bit of holiday feasting + fun.
Everyone seemed to have a really good time. We all probably ate way too much food, opened far too many presents and played Jenga many many times!
Now the scene at our house looks like something you could call a Toy Massacre. Toys all over the livingroom in various states of assembly. Its actually kind of grand! I plan to lay about reading my new books while the kids play themselves silly. Tomorrow, back to a little bit of sewing! I did however reopen the shop today with everything that was leftover from my holiday shows. new items coming soon!
I have been so unbelievable un-crafty this week. Not one spool of thread, nor any stitch of fabric has crossed paths with my hands. It feels weird, really weird. Instead I have been baking, shopping, wrapping gifts, and all things holiday!
Tonight however I have to make room on the sewing table and get some Christmas gifts made! Stay tuned!
Sorry for taking so very long to post an entry, I got back from my trip yesterday morning and was very drained from all the driving and lack of sleep. I did have a really good time at the Bust Craftacular though!
I went with Taryn of My My
and we shared a table. This is sadly the only photo I took of my half of the table) and its from behind.
It was hard to take a lot of pictures because the room we were in was a little bit dark. So sorry most of these are blurry. I hate to use my flash because I didn’t bring another set of batteries and it makes everyone look so washed out!
There were all kinds of celeberties there for book signing etc. But look…Lisa Loeb was there shopping. Sorry its not such a great photo, but the gal behind us asked to make sure, and yup it really was her.
And even though there was some time spent lost, and not much sleep I had a really good time. I got to have my copy of Job Hopper signed by Ayun Halliday. I got to do a bunch of shopping. See lots of internet friends, and eat my very first cheese blintzes (yum yum yum!)
We Leave Fossils
is my brother and sister in-laws band. They now have Christmas songs that they did posted! they are awesome, go check them out here!
