I have been so unbelievable un-crafty this week. Not one spool of thread, nor any stitch of fabric has crossed paths with my hands. It feels weird, really weird. Instead I have been baking, shopping, wrapping gifts, and all things holiday!
Tonight however I have to make room on the sewing table and get some Christmas gifts made! Stay tuned!
Sorry for taking so very long to post an entry, I got back from my trip yesterday morning and was very drained from all the driving and lack of sleep. I did have a really good time at the Bust Craftacular though!
I went with Taryn of My My
and we shared a table. This is sadly the only photo I took of my half of the table) and its from behind.
It was hard to take a lot of pictures because the room we were in was a little bit dark. So sorry most of these are blurry. I hate to use my flash because I didn’t bring another set of batteries and it makes everyone look so washed out!
There were all kinds of celeberties there for book signing etc. But look…Lisa Loeb was there shopping. Sorry its not such a great photo, but the gal behind us asked to make sure, and yup it really was her.
And even though there was some time spent lost, and not much sleep I had a really good time. I got to have my copy of Job Hopper signed by Ayun Halliday. I got to do a bunch of shopping. See lots of internet friends, and eat my very first cheese blintzes (yum yum yum!)
We Leave Fossils
is my brother and sister in-laws band. They now have Christmas songs that they did posted! they are awesome, go check them out here!
In about an hour I’ll be leaving for the Bust Craftacular (tomorrow) But first I am taking the very last load of orders to the post office, and it feels so great! It feels not only wonderful to know they are all done + ready to go…but to know when I return from New York I have a whole week of Winter festivites planned!
I suprised myself by spinning up 8 yarns for the Bust show…I was worried I would only have 3 or 4.
It is amazing what late nights and copious amounts of coffee can do for production! This last yarn is my favorite of the batch because its so thick! It looks more like someone’s dreads than yarn.
I am not-so-secretly hoping that it does not sell, so I have an excuse to keep it for myself. I think it would be great single crocheted into a scarf!
I’ll be back on Monday with photos and news of the twelve hour long show (yep, seriously its twelve hours long–gulp!)
