Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fabric Sale

Back in May as I do every year I attended the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fabric Sale. This one was in a new location that apparently was secured rather quickly after the sale of their previous spot. Things were a little more crowded then usual in this set up, and I probably purchased the least amount of stuff I ever have. I still had lots of fun looking through goodies, and I am in no danger of running out of craft supplies as is it, but I still managed to come away with some treasure pictured above. My best buy was the two vintage dress forms for $5 each. Now on display in my living room.

Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fabric Fair 2017

Every year I get excited for the Salvation Army fabric fair. All year long our local Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary collects craft supplies, fabric, and yarn for this big sale. Starting a few hours before the opening there is a long line of people waiting to get in, me included. It’s always so much fun!

Buttons, books, more buttons!
Things you never knew you needed…like a box of izod crocodile patches (left these behind).

Let’s not forget the room filled with playpen upon playpen of yarn!
Then there are the little gems like this (bought this one!) I’ll be back soon with a post showing you everything I bought.

Salvation Army Fabric Sale

Wednesday was the kick off of the annual Salvation Army Fabric Sale here in PA. I kind of debated going on opening day, but then the night before I realized I would really regret it if I didn’t. So Wednesday morning I got up at 6am and my friend Crystal and I headed to stand in line (with lots and lots of other people) for a chance at some crafty supplies!
It was so much fun as always, and I was really restrained this year. I only filled two bags for myself, and one for my friend Molly who wasn’t able to get off work. She just opened a online shop selling the really cute things she makes using vintage supplies, check it out here!
I’ll take some detail photos to share of all the goodies I got, not much fabric this time-but goodness knows my fabric stash is not lacking.
