I dug out this crazy hodge podge Halloween quilt I started last year. I originally made the Halloween collage so we could have a crazy Halloween puzzle to put together
. Then I printed it on some fabric so I could make a quilt & halloween bag. I know its currently Summer, but if I want these things done in time for Fall, I’ve found that Summer is the time to work on them.
I love to use the foundation piecing technique to sew quilt squares for little bags, pot holders, etc. I was talking to a friend about it recently and she had never heard of it. I thought I’d post a helpful link that explains the easy process, which gets you gorgeous results and is so easy to do! This link has helpful photos and an explanation.
Have you guys tried paper piecing? You basically sew your quilt pieces onto a paper template (meaning no cutting small blocks and trying to line them up!) I am so excited about it….
If your a paper piecing expert I’d love to hear about your favorite templates, websites, blogs!
