Bird Cage Lamp

For our dining room I wanted to buy a bird cage hanging light. The only ones I could find were super expensive (I am sure worth every penny) but only one tiered, and because of the high ceilings and the fact that it goes above our dining room table I wanted something with two tiers, so I decided to make one myself.
I bought 2 different size lamp ring kits and cut the bulb holder area off the smaller one so it was just two rings. I wrapped them in chicken wire bending the tiny edge prongs from cutting to hold onto the rings, but then also added tiny zip ties to keep the rings in place. I trimmed the tails of the zip ties so once painted you wouldn’t even notice them. To attach the big part of the lamp to smaller I used 3 S hooks I already owned. This is nice because you can take it apart as needed. I spray painted the whole thing with Krylon Fusion Hammered Copper spray paint. Then added sticks from my yard and vintage birds that I bought as a lot on ebay. Lastly I used a big bulb and light kit from Ikea.
