I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Ours was wonderful and very stuffing! We have another one coming up on Sunday at our house, so the festivites will continue then…

Since I can offically begin the Christmas decorating we started early this morning. First I made this garland out of pom-poms (and honestly it didn’t even make a dent in my stash, thats creepy) I just strung the poms onto thin fishing line with a needle (and made sure to securly tie the ends) You could use thread too, but it would be so sad if it broke after all the work. Most poms went on really easily, but I think it would go faster if you do not use any of the sparkly ones..they seem to be harder to push the needle through. Honestly the ones that threaded most easily were the kind that come from the Dollar Tree in a big mixed bag for a buck.

We get a real tree every year, so we wait a little while longer to get it. But we did go ahead and set up this smaller white Christmas tree in the kitchen. Note the big paper crane on top, It cracked me up when I read Hillary’s post about “being one of those people” You know the type who even set up a tree in the kitchen. Well I suppose I have become one of them, with not only one tree in the kitchen, but also one in the bathroom (little) and another one coming (mail order pink tinsel tree) for the dining room. Next thing you know I will be blowing up life sized Santas for the front yard, and balancing a nativity up on the roof! It all begins when you set up that second tree!!

I just finally finished my big site update, which not only included houses but these quarts of Egg Nog (mmm) Just for the holiday season.

I’m stealin’ your garland idea. I was eyeing those pompoms in Dollar Tree just the other day wondering what to do with them.
